Alpha Delta Pi is known as the first secret society for women, founded in 1851. Originally known as the Adelphean Society, the sorority was founded on the principles of schloarship, service, sisterhood and self. Their open motto is "We Live for Each Other". Alpha Delta Pi currently has 155 chapters across the United States and Canada along with 140 alumnae associations. Several notable alumni from across the country include actress Kathy Bates, singer Karen Fairchild, news anchor Nancy Grace, actress Danica McKellar as well as several politicans, authors and television personlities. 

The Drake Theta Eta chapter was recognized at their 2016 District Conference with a Membership Excellence Award as well as most improved in Membership Education and Excellence in Finance. They received the Drake's Outstanding Membership Development Award for their work in 2016. For the Spring 2017, the Theta Eta chapter accomplished over 1,100 service hours with approximently 70 members.
